DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Stiles and Rails. Stiles and rails of extruded aluminum alloy. Alcan 50-ST-6 (or Equivalent) to produce a door nominal 2" thick. Center Rails designed with weather joint. Bottom rail with rolled vinyl astragal.

Panels. Deeply ribbed fiberglass panels exted full width of sections and are secured to rails, center stiles and end stiles.

Visual Panel. Approximately 9"-12"-18" or 24" or 36" long.

Reinforcing. Built-in Aluminum integral truss.

Finish. No painting required. Color is permanently impregnated in the fiberglass. All aluminum members have Mill Finish... Anodized. Finish available on request.

Hardware. Steel hinges and fixtures bolted in place. Case hardened ball bearing rollers. Steel or Nylon (Please Specify.

Lock. Side lock. Padlock extra. Cylinder lock available.

Tracks. 2" or 3" available depending on size or use.

Counterbalance. Torsion springs(s) on cross header shaft. Tapered drums. Galvanized lift cables.

Operation. Manual (Push-Pull)... or Chain Hoist... or Electrically Operated (Must Specify) depending on door size. NOTE: Chain hoist operation recommended on all doors over 14' 6" high.

Weather-strip:

Flexible rolled vinyl is provided for effectively sealing the bottom of door against weather
Pile weather-strip provided between each section
Top lintel provided at top of door
Pile weather seal provided for sides of opening

Warranty. One year limited warranty on materials and workmanship.

Architects Specifications

Aluminum insulated sectional overhead doors shall be model RGT-2 of a size shown on plans. To be made of 50-ST-6 (or equal) aluminum alloy extruded shapes to produce a door nominal 2" thick. Fiberglass panels to extend full width to each section and secured to rails, ends, and center stiles.

All doors to be accurately counterbalanced with "stress tested" torsion springs, tapered drums and galvanized lift cables. Doors shall be equipped with inclined tracks and graduated end roller carriers ensuring a weather tight fit, track and hardware of galvanized finish, ball bearing rollers (steel or nylon). Hardware model 2-OS(3-0 HDW).

Doors shall be installed by the local distributor and shall have a limited guarantee by him against faulty workmanship or materials for a period of one year.

Door openings, jambs and necessary extensions for hardware and spring mechanism supplied by others in accordance to instructions.
