Full Tubular Extruded Aluminum Alloy (ALCAN 508-T6): Horizontal and vertical members are joined together by concealed thru-bolts and self-locking nuts. This provides high strength and rigidity in both open and closed partitions and gives positive security to the section. All stiles and rails have double wall thickness where hardware is mounted. Built-in truss reinforcing for doors 12' 3" to 16' wide. This provides strength and rigidity in closed position for wind resistance, and deflection in open position.

Panels. Aluminum panels will be .040 ga (unless otherwise specified). Panels hermetically sealed in molded vinyl gaskets in a 3/8" deep groove in the stiles and rails and retained on the inside face by removable aluminum molding. Various colors available in anodized and durable acrylic finish. Consult factory for color fastness and finish.

Operation. Manual push-up for doors up to 12' 6" high. For doors over 12' 7" or 144 sq ft. chain hoist equipment is recommended.

Glass. 24 oz. glass standard (1/8" acrylic safety glass is recommended when you require extra protection). IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not over balance door setions by using 1/4" plate wire or cast wire glass, burglar systems, etc. More expensive spring mechanism is required (at extra cost) for doors installed with wire glass.

Weatherstripping. The bottom rail is supplied with a flexible rolled astragal to provide a seal between the door and floor.

Hardware. For doors up to 144 sq. ft., max width 12' 2" and max height 12' 2" use MODEL 2-OS. For doors over these limits and/or opening and closing more than 50 times per day use model 3-9 HDW.

Tracks. 2" Model 2-OS or 3" Model 3-HDW. Galvanized steel. Tracks are bracket mounted for wood casings and steel jamb conditions. Horizontal tracks are angle iron reinforced according to door weight and size.

Springs. Stress tested torsion springs are supplied in most cases ( Extension springs available for special cases). Lifting is performed by galvanized aircraft cable rotating on aluminum die cast drums.
