DETAILED DESCRIPTION

SOLAR LITE prefabricated, insulated overhead door panels. Developed in direct response to the needs of the solar energy industry, these cover panels are durable, light-weight, economical, and they offer maximum solar energy transmission and insulation.

Two layers of .040 Premium solar panels bonded to aluminum channels to produce a door Nominal 2" thick. All sections to be manufactured in such a manner that each panel of each section in the field individually.

These solar collector door panels are ideal for a wide range of applications where maximum solar energy transmission, light transmission and insulation are desired.

Reinforcing. Built-in Aluminum integral truss. All aluminum members have Mill Finish... Anodized finished available on request.

Hardware. Steel hinges and fixtures bolted in place. Case hardened ball bearing rollers.

Lock. Side lock. Padlock extra. Cylinder lock available

Tracks. 2" or 3" available depending on size or use.

Counterbalance. Torsion springs(s) on cross header shaft. Tapered drums. Galvanized lift cables. Twin stretch springs also available.

Operation. Manual (Push-Pull)... or Chain Hoist... or Electrically Operated (Must Specify) depending on door size. NOTE: Chain hoist operation recommended on all doors over 14'1" high.

Weather-strip:

Flexible rolled vinyl is provided for effectively sealing the bottom of door against weather
Pile weather-strip provided between each section
Top lintel provided at the top of door
Pile weather seal provided for sides of opening

Warranty. One year limited warranty on materials and workmanship.

Architect's Specifications

Two layers of .040 Premium solar panels bonded to aluminum channels to produce a door Nominal 2" thick. all sections to be manufactured in such a manner that each panel of each section can be replaced in the field individually. Solar panels to extend full width of each pane and secured to rail, and center stiles.

All doors to be accurately counterbalanced with "Stress Tested" torsion springs, tapered drums and galvanized lift cables. Doors shall be equipped with inclined tracks and graduated end roller carriers ensuring a weather-tight fit, track and hardware of galvanized finish, ball bearing rollers (steel or nylon). Hardware model 2-OS (3-0-HDW).

Doors shall be installed by the local distributor and shall have a limited guarantee by him against faulty workmanship or materials for a period of one year.

Door openings, jambs, and necessary extensions for hardware and spring mechanism supplied by others in accordance to instructions
